Further shortening static tag text

Postby iairavat » Wed Mar 28, 2007 5:53 pm

Towards brevity on tags on the subject line, I suggest dropping the word 'message' from the tag. So messages tagged as: "(someidentitystring: message 19 of 20)" would read: "(someidentitystring: 19 of 20) - the word "message" is quite redundant!

In fact, it could even read: "(someidentitystring: 19/20) and convey the same information!

Cheers again - I'm loving SG - and I encourage all users to donate! I'd like to see this service be around in perpetuity!

We'll think about it. That message tag is about the most effective training tool we have for brand new users, so we have to be careful with it. I bet there's a good way to make is shorter without losing that "light bulb coming on" effect that occurs when a user gets the first forwarded message.

When you put it that way, I completely agree! considering the learning curve I went through, I would have to agree and withdraw my suggestion!

That lightbulb is priceless!
