Way to prevent truncating of forwarded emails?

Postby Bry » Tue Dec 13, 2005 3:10 pm

I've noticed that long text emails that are being forwarded through a spamgourmet address seem to be truncated. Is there a way to allow a trusted sender to send longer ones, or increase the allowed length?

I apologize if this has been asked before or if I'm making some obvious mistake; I wasn't able to locate any info on it in the fax.

Nothing in our code or mail server settings should be truncating messages. Some mail servers in the chain may have maximum size limits in place (like 5 megs maybe, not sure), but I believe they bounce mail that exceeds the size, rather than truncating it.

Could the problem have happened anywhere else?

Thanks for your reply. I think I did make an obvious mistake -- I've been reading the stuff from this particular account through ePrompter, which must be doing its own truncating.

Sorry for the newbie mistake, and thanks for a great service!
