Very nice product!

Something I find myself wanting to do on occasion is to send someone I don't know very well an email. However they might have poor security and my email address could end up in some spammers hands.

Is there a way to send someone an email (not a reply to email address you have given them) but when they reply have it use the Spamgourmet abilities?

What you want is to turn on address masking. Read the blurb in the advanced mode tab.

As I understand it, address masking only works once you REPLY to a mail. I don't believe it would work when you INITIATE the email exchange.

Or am I wrong?

In advanced mode, click the link that says "send a message from one of your disposable addresses." You'll be able to create an outgoing address.
