bbs.spamgourmet.com

I can forward all my domain mail to a specific single address with the catch-all, but I cannot forward each message to the same user @ spamgourmet. The FAQ states that both methods are possible, but the former is not the preferred method. Why is this so? What are the possible consequences?

I should probably remove the bit about which is the preferred method. The one where you send all mail to spameater@spamgourmet.com merely results in one more level of header parsing, but really doesn't have a measureable impact.
