It's speculation, but I really think that there's much less work for the admins *without* the delete button, and with the occasional cleanups that users ask for (did the one above, btw).
I clean up addresses for a user once every couple of months, and it takes a couple minutes, at most. My fear is that, because of the counter-intuitive nature of sg's disposable addresses, adding a delete button will invite a whole bunch of inquiries from users who get unexpected results when they delete an address (which promptly gets recreated when a message arrives). There are over 100k users now, and that's enough to contain a group large enough to overwhelm our support infrastructure [which is a) this board, and b) me and my treo 600, with occasional help from the team], so I get skiddish when my intuition warns me about a change...
