Request easy to speak domain

Postby RT » Mon Mar 02, 2009 5:09 am

When I need to quote an SG address over the phone, it would save time and reduce errors if I had a domain with non-ambiguous pronunciation (0 vs. O, S as in Sam, etc.).

Also three characters would save even more time. I realize this isn't the most important issue, but over time, it would be very helpful. I checked with Network Solutions and, at the time of this post, there were several 3-character .ORG domains available.

Am I alone on this?

Is there a topic you can refer me to on how to set up what your suggesting? I'm not much of a SysAdmin.

Either way, thanks for offering your help.

The FAQ of the main site explains how to set up your own domain.

Network Solutions

Network solutions charges way to much for domains.

Other than that, I think it is a great idea.

I use dfgh.net. It is easy to say DFGH.net, they are right in a row on your keyboard.

Or he could try one of the easier to spell domains:

neverbox.com
ordinaryamerican.net

spamcowboy.org
spameater.org
spamgourmet.com
spamgourmet.net
spamgourmet.org
wronghead.com
xoxy.net

neverbox.com, inboxclean.com and wronghead.com seem easy enough, but I'm used to dfgh.net myself.
