Two dots prohibited in address

Postby vellire » Tue Jan 27, 2004 8:16 pm

Lately I've run across a few sites (American Express comes to mind) that would not allow two .'s to the left of @ in email addresses. Meh.

It happened to me also.

We just added the tilde ~ as an alternative delimiter, so you can use that instead of a dot (or instead of one of the dots). Maybe that'll help.

That is:

word~num~spamcowboy@spamgourmet.com

now works, and so does

word.num~spamcowboy@spamgourmet.com

etc.

Way to go! Now just add that to the FAQ updates... Please?
