By the way, I've been using Burner for a little bit -- and the *only* thing I don't like about it (and I *really* don't like this) is that they choose to encode "Burner:" into your ANI number apparently only for marketing purposes -- so in other words, if I set up a new Burner and name it "Scotty" -- when I place an outgoing call or send an outgoing text from that number, the recipient sees the Caller ID as "Burner: Scotty" upon receiving that communication -- and because of that, this service is a LOT less useful to me particularly for the purposes which I wanted to use it -- like if I meet someone at a bar and they ask for my number and I don't want them to know that I'm unsure of them, and therefore am sending them a text either from a bogus number which I have no intention of keeping alive or am sending them a text on a probationary status because I'm not *yet* sure that they are someone I want to stay in contact with -- if I later decide I like the person and want to give them my *real* number I can, but as it is, I look like a couf for sending them a text from a number that is *clearly* temporary.
