unscheduled downtime

We had some significant unscheduled downtime over the weekend due to what appears to be a bug in the new mail server software we're using (which is otherwise performing much better than our old config) - we're back up, and looking at ways to prevent the issue from occurring again. Apologies for not answering individual queries (there were many) -- it would be the same answer to all :)

Are you sure it's fixed?

It seems to be back today, although completely at random. I actually get messages with large attachments instantly, while small messages without attachments never arrive (at least so far).

Update: 1 day later (23/10), the problem seems to be over. I'll keep checking.

(BTW, thanks for activating my account!)

I still haven't gotten ANY SG mail since late last week, definitely since Friday, October 16. I've tried a few different SG domains that have always worked for me and have tried them from gmail.com and my employer's domains, all things I've done in the past.

Please halp.

Still no mail. Sent private messages to info and syskoll a couple days ago without any response.

It's almost the one year and a half anniversary since syskoll last logged in, so I'd try Josh instead.

But try seeing if you get new mail. Keep in mind changing your protected address only applies to new mail.

Hi hourback!

It seems, that your problem is another than the topic of this thread, because I get SG-mails as normally as usual since Oct 20.
The topic was a global SG problem at the weekend Oct 17-19.

I get small messages regulary, but a message with a 335 Kb attachment just took 2 hours. It was from a client and it was kind of bad when I had say "let's wait a little more" while being worried it got lost...
