Maybe if you can get into the habit of quoting UTC time as well - sometimes it's a bit hard whether you're talking America/Los_Angeles with or without daylight saving, or something else.
Or, I suppose a poor-man's alternative is the -0700 on the end of an RFC-2822 date string.
