phish mail

I just got a phishing email:

Dear SPAMGOURMET Email Account Owner,
This message is from SPAMGOURMET MAIL MANAGEMENT messaging
center to all email account owners. We are currently
upgrading our data base and e-mail
account center.We are deleting all unused email account to
create more space for new accounts.

To prevent your account from closing you will have to update
it below so that we will know that it's a present used
account.
CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL IDENTITY BELOW

Email Username : .......... .....
EMAIL Password : ................
Date of Birth : .................
Alternative Email : ..........

Warning!!! Account owner that refuses to update his or her
account within Seven days of receiving this warning will
lose his or her account permanently.

Um, nothing personal, but shouldn't most of us who are intelligent enough to use SG to avoid spam realize that this isn't really from SG? Especially the "Enter your password here in plain text:" request...

Actually no, especially for the youngesters out there that are 5-13yo... not many are that bright at all.

Yes 5-13 do use email, and some DO use SG because they want to keep their email private, this I have been privy to. Sorry to burst your bubble on the masses out there :lol: :oops: but they are still not that bright.

Point taken.

I'm doing my best to teach my children well (they all have SG accounts), but I guess phishing schemes, etc work because the masses aren't smart enough to be slightly suspicious.
