While trying to signup at
http://www.sixxs.net/signup/create/
got the following error
"Your email address does not qualify (2 MXes are required) - read the FAQ for more info, contact the SixXS Staff for more information"
could you create another A name like.. gourmet2.spamgourmet.com or something... on the same system or whatever you have now... just so these type of places are happy with they check for number of MX?

AFAIK you should tell them that their policy is quite bad.
