"remember me" box on login

When I check the "remember me" box when I log in, I would expect SG to remember my userid and my password. It does not remember the userid or the password. Am I misunderstanding the purpose of "remember me"?

All that does is change the login cookie from "session" to "persistent" - if you clear cookies (or use a different browser or computer), it won't remember.
