Unable to change protected address

We recently changed our email from prxxx@gmail.com to
domain name email hosted by gmail and tried to change our protected
address to sxxx@prxxx.org.

The sign-in page says
"A confirmation message has been sent to the forwarding address you
specified. The message will be From: info@spamgourmet.com (if you
don't receive it, check your spam filter if you have one). You'll need
to click on the link in the message to confirm.

protected address prxxx@gmail.com
The address will be changed to sxxx@prxxx.org when
you confirm using the link that was emailed to that address.

After 24 hours without a verification email, I clicked on the
resend link. It's been several more hours and still no verification.

I checked the spam filter and it wasn't there.

Thanks for your help.

After login I get a field where I can change the protected address (for forwarding) but with a dimmed Save button.
Is this temporary?
0r did I miss another place where to change the protected address?

Scott,

Send me a private message with your new sxxx@prxxx.org address. I'll attempt to send you a message there and I'll check the logs regarding that email.

I assume you mean the protected address field. It's grayed out until you edit it. As soon as you put your cursor in it and modify it, it ungrays. Try it.

If that doesn't work, make sure you have confirmed your forwarding address by clicking on the link you received from sg at your protected address.

The (protected address) 'save' button stays dimmed after touching or changing the address..
I entered a new password on Oct 15 2004 . I have still the confirmation mail with my (changed) password. I assume I changed it (login works)

However this email account does not exist any more.
Could I still unlock the button?

Macvienna,

Send me a private message with your SG account and I'll take a look at the DB record.

Trying again today - change worked. It was a temporary effect (for an unknown reason)

Have you confirmed that you're able to receive email on the new address? Silly question, I know, but we have to ask it. If there was a bounceback, we wouldn't see it.

Yes, other mail is getting through and spam is directed to a spam "folder".

Scott,

The mail server of your new forwarding address is either down or refusing connections from ours. I sent you a PM with the details. You need to bring up the issue with your ISP.

bfn.org hosts our website. Our domain name email is hosted by gmail (beta program) with dns handled by dotster.

Here is our mx record

E-mail Tester results for preservationcoalition.org
Generated by www.DNSstuff.com

Getting MX record for preservationcoalition.org (from local DNS server, may be cached)...
Note: A CNAME appeared in the results. Although technically valid for a CNAME to appear during an MX record lookup,
it is very unusual and not recommended (since CNAMEs are not allowed in two other cases during MX record lookups).

Got it!

Well, I confirm that dig returns a google server now, but it's not what came out on Friday.

Try to change your forwarding address again and see if the address confirmation message arrives now.

Was the DNS for preservationcoalition.org updated recently? If so, when? Because from the spamgourmet server, the MX record (served by HE.net) still points to preserve.bfn.org.
