Return of the outage (or is it revenge of the outrage?)

Postby lwc » Mon Dec 20, 2004 10:52 am

The main page has started giving me the same mistake that I sometimes got during the outage:
Code: Select all
oops! there was an error. Check back soon.
If you'd like to help, send a quick note to

info-at-spamgourmet.com

and briefly describe what you were doing when the error occurred.

PS - don't hit refresh here -- you'll only see this page again. You can return to the main page by clicking here.

Of course, the last line doesn't really help because this is the main page...

Has anyone e-mailed info-at-spamgourmet.com about this?

Ok, not only does the main page fails to load, e-mail messages that are sent to me are bounced back with a "failed to deliver" message!

...so I can't e-mail "info" because it'll be bounced back.

The service is back.

Is it because of our reports or was it just fixed by itself?

Looks like mails aren't getting forwarded again

I haven't gotten any emails through spamgourmet... hopefully they are being cached and not lost.... wierd though, if I change my protected address, I can get the email generated for that, just not any email coming through the service.

Well, *now* it looks like we're losing a key hard drive. I'm working with the service provider to get it replaced. Fun, fun... Thanks for bearing with us.

Oh no, today there seems to be a different kind of down time.

The site itself works this time, but since the morning (my time - now it's the afternoon) e-mail messages just won't show up.

The eaten or forwarded counters are frozen too so it's exactly as if the outage is back.

Most of my emails which I should have received have been vaporized for the last 8 days. Maybe some were bounced back.
I did get the odd test message through, but mostly zilch.
How do I get a smiley on here? or a frownie ?

It's night time and I've just got one of my messages from this afternoon.

Actually, I think it was the only one that needed forwarding and not eating.

Anyway, it took that one message 8.5 hours (I can see from the "Received" headers).
