Reply address masking : doubt ?

Postby JF » Tue Nov 09, 2004 11:58 am

Hi.

I've received an e-mail through spamGourmet.
BEFORE replying to it, I've checked my settings:

* reply address masking : enabled
* and there were these counts for the address :

Code: Select all
word  maxcount  remaining   sent  deleted   created  full address
----- --------  ---------   ----  -------   -------  -----------------------------
qqqqq        5          4      3        0   2004-10  qqqqq.5.yyyyy@spamgourmet.com

(no exclusive sender, no note)

AFTER having replied to the e-mail, I've checked back the counts in spamGourmet.
I'm surprised not to see 4 in the "sent" count after replying to the original e-mail.
The sent count still reads 3.

My question :
Does I make a mistake in my understanding of the "sent" count,
or (hope not) is there a problem with my reply ?

Code: Select all

Thanks for your support !
JF.

edit:

I've made a test,
- between two personal addresses,
- on two different ISP,
- using another disposable address

It works !

But the '"sent" count isn't incremented.

If this is the standard behavior of the sent count,
I suggest as a new feature
to add a "sent via reply masking" count,
or to change the sent count,
in order to clearly show all the trafic on spamGourmet.

"sent" means forwarded to your protected address. We don't keep track of the messages that *you* send through reply address masking.
