Changing address' initial domain

Let's say I gave some site the address "whatever@X.com".

Since you have many domains, may I change my mind later into something other than X?

In other words, what happens if they later send e-mail to "whatever@Y.com" (same keyword and user, different domain)?

Thanks!

a different domain won't affect the normal lifecycle of an address -- if the user and the word are the same, it's effectively the same address

So what you're saying is that although my database will always (no matter what) show me only the inital domain I chose, in reality I could use any domain I want?
