I received this, was it really sent from spamgourmet?
I have not opened the enclosed attachment yet...

Short answer: NO. The sg admins don't email people except in reply to tech support messages. Your message comes from someone using the MS Outlook Express v 6.0.2 client. The bottommost Received header traces it to a dial-up in Russia.

Cached whois for 195.161.214.9 : nnb at relinfo.ru, ivan atmari-el.ru, ivan at martelcom.ru, ivan at relinfo.ru

Kudos to you for not opening the attachment. Please run an AV on it and tell us which virus it is. I guess it's a spambot.
