Verification emails do not reach disroot.org

Postby sg24 » Thu Jan 25, 2024 4:25 pm

I am trying to use spamgourmet with an @disroot.org protected address.

Unfortunately, no verification emails reach that address.

What I have tested so far:
  • Registering with an @disroot.org protected address:
    No verification email
  • Waiting >24 hours:
    Same result
  • Using one of the aliases of disroot.org:
    Same result
  • Registering with another protected address, then changing to an @disroot.org address:
The verification email reaches the first address within seconds, the @disroot.org address receives no verification email.
  • Sending emails to the @disroot.org protected address from 2x different email accounts:
    Works
  • Sending emails from @disroot.org to a disposable address:
    Works
This might be a case of emails from spamgourmet getting refused at the destination server.

Can anybody confirm? (Signup with disroot.org is relatively easy.)
I would be incredibly thankful, as these problems seem to persist for ~1 year.

Thank you.

+1 here.

Seems not just disroot but also other providers like proton, tutanota, riseup.net, etc are also affected.
Would like to see DANE compliance soon, but as this is a voluntary service (also given the situation that the original owner is sadly no longer with us and the source code not maintained as of now), I am happy to wait patiently without too much expectations.

I do really enjoy the simplicity of the service and the duality of spamgourmet's function both as a relayer and a burner, and not to mention that it works without javascript, so I hope there is some work on the way.
