Outlook Protected Address Peculiarity

Postby kerflot » Tue Jun 22, 2021 6:54 am

I started using my Microsoft Outlook address as the Protected address.
It is in the format name+spam@ outlook.com (space intentional).

Spamgourmet will forward the email but it will not show up in my Spamgourmet list and in addition all the emails come through as "1 of etc".

It's as though SG directly forwards the emails but does not do its usual count.

Can somebody explain what is happening.

PS: The forwarded emails end up in the Outlook Junk folder but I'm OK with that.

PPS: Just noticed the Post "Addresses not following rules for being eaten after a number" with reference to viewtopic.php?p=8763#p8763

I'll give that a go.

viewtopic.php?p=8763#p8763
