Using my own domain with SG

Postby boomking » Tue Sep 03, 2019 11:21 pm

I'd like to use my own domain with spamgourmet. I've been finding a few sites that have black-listed the spamgourmet range of domains so I thought this would be a good way to get around their over-zealous blocking.

Looking at the FAQ "I have an idle domain I'd like to use for spamgourmet addresses" The answer states "...You also need to tell us about it so that we can update the local configuration to accept mail for your domain. " How do I do this? There are some references elsewhere in the FAQ to a 'contact email on the front page', but I can't see one, and a 'contact us' link I came across redirected me to here.

Hi boomking,

You may want to check out these other threads:
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1785 (Josh is quitting spamgourmet)
viewtopic.php?p=8214#p8214 (found another admin, but don't count on any support for the time being)
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1787 (spamgourmet is open source, so you can install it yourself in theory)
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1786 (alternatives)

Thanks jgonggrijp

I have seen those threads already, they were what motivated to get my own domain when it looked like SG might have to shut down. I'll sit tight and wait for an announcement regarding the administration.
