Last eaten log shows my protected address

Lately I keep seeing (every week or so) my own protected address in the Last eaten log.
Why is that? Did something happen? If it helps, both sides (protected address and various recipients) use Gmail.
I tried giving one of the relevant accounts more remaining messages, and expected to get messages coming from myself, but it didn't happen.

Some scammers chose to forge the target's address as the sending address. They think this might work since some people do this to
1) save a copy of the message (Perhaps they don't have a sent items folder?)
2) have a to address if they are using BCC to send a message.

You can add your protected address as a trusted sender if you want to see specifically what the scammers hook is.

I don't think so.
When this thing happens, it happens as soon I write someone a message.
It's as if Gmail tries to send me a bounce and isn't allow to because my own address is like you said not a trusted sender.
But my messages arrive to the relevant party and vice versa nonetheless.

Do you have a gmail setting that always sends a copy of your sent messages to your address?

Do you mean a custom filter or a third party add-on? No.
But I do see one message in which I must have accidentally clicked "Reply to all". Facepalm
Unfortunately, the other relevant messages are gone by now so I can't check if I did it there too.
Next time (if) it happens, I'll report if it happened due to the above.
