Hi,
I suppose that the diagnostic message, below, may be misleading or that I misunderstand it.
Also, I have not been able to find any discussions in this list about this problem.
Still it seems right to ask here if you see anything that might help, so...
I recently had one person fail to send mail to me with an attachment.
They tried several times.
This is the only time I have seen such a problem, which is odd.
I believe the rejected mail message was at most a couple of MB.
I know I have received larger messages in the past.
The sender sent this stuff to a bunch of people and only had a problem with me.
The message below is what was bounced back to them:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your message cannot be delivered to the following recipients:
Recipient address: xxxxxxxxxxx@dfgh.net
Reason: Server rejected MAIL FROM address.
Diagnostic code: smtp;552 Message size exceeds maximum permitted
Remote system: dns;gourmet7.spamgourmet.com (TCP|167.206.4.196|62400|216.75.62.102|25) (spamgourmet. helo.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, it appears to me that spamgourmet may have rejected their mail.
Is there a maximum message size policy at spamgourmet?
If there is, what is it?
Do you know what is wrong or have any suggestions of how to proceed to understand the problem?
Thanks for your help.
