SSL receive buffer full

A vendor tried to send email to one of my recursor.net email addresses and received this:

The total size of one of the emails including all headers is 21759 bytes. A smaller one is 15188 bytes. If you want to see their MDaemon support question about this it's at http://lists.altn.com/WebX/.5986025a . They have worked around the problem for now by adjusting MDaemon settings so it doesn't try SSL for this address and that got the queued emails to me through.

The email address is of the form merchantname.to.mySGaccount at recursor.net . Anything I can do to help sort out what's happening?
