They have a policy that if I don't use a reachable email address, they drop my account.
Specifically, Spamgourmet sends an email back (to those trying to reach me) which states their message can't be sent to me due to the following error:
- Code: Select all
sh: -c: line 1: unexpected EOF while looking for matching `"'
sh: -c: line 2: syntax error: unexpected end of file
This does not happen every time, though it is extremely frequent on the "reset email / password details" feature of a certain site I can now no longer log in to. Guess I'll have to crawl back to them with a "real" (unprotected) email and see if my membership information is still intact.
I sent you an alert on this three days ago, as did someone else on this forum way back in November LAST YEAR... and you've completely ignored the issue. Not a single answer from you as yet.
And now it's cost me.
Very unreliable Spamgourmet If what the webhost is telling me is true, then you are losing peoples emails - probably lots of them due to this bug, and you're not even aware of it.
Edit: I've now registered to the website with an unprotected address. I then got the confirmation email which apparently can't be sent to me through Spamgourmet, and then, when I sent it to my own spamgourmet address; it went through with no problem so I can't personally reproduce the error. It is definitely happening to the webhost I'm wanting to use Spamgourmet for though, as they sent me back the error message they were getting. Could it be the errors only happen with specific senders?
