I could not access the main site today (approx. 3:45 pm PT). Is it down?

Its down thats for sure and noone is getting any emails. I hope the emails are still being collected and the service is going to be back up soon. Looks like its going to be down at least all weekend.

the service provider has rebooted the server, and it's struggling - it's either an unprecedented backup of mail or a DOS (or something else, I suppose), and it'll be a some time before I know the whole story. I'll post an update when I have one.

Has anyone received any of their email for the weekend yet?

I've received a couple of emails, but one seems to be missing. Based on past experience, I'd expect things to take a couple of days to get back to normal.

Thanks for the update Josh - hope the problem is an easy one to fix...

Seems, that nothing is lost ...

It was a misconfiguration of the server (by me -- I did it! there, I said it.). Chalk it up to unfamiliarity with the new mail server program on the new server, which has otherwise been serving us well.

I can't guarantee that nothing was lost, but in general, the magic that is SMTP will work to make sure we get our mail.
