Main site down?

Posted: Mon Aug 17, 2009 2:30 amthe service provider has rebooted the server, and it's struggling - it's either an unprecedented backup of mail or a DOS (or something else, I suppose), and it'll be a some time before I know the whole story. I'll post an update when I have one.

Posted: Mon Aug 17, 2009 9:11 pmIt was a misconfiguration of the server (by me -- I did it! there, I said it.). Chalk it up to unfamiliarity with the new mail server program on the new server, which has otherwise been serving us well.
I can't guarantee that nothing was lost, but in general, the magic that is SMTP will work to make sure we get our mail.
