well into the millions of connection/connection-attempts per day. No doubt about it that a buzillion bots trying to send spam to you looks like a DOS - that's going on at all times, of course. When we identify an attack, it's something that has a pretty clear profile apart from that deafening noise.

Is there anything going on? People who send me large attachments keep asking me why I didn't get their messages!

no, no issues currently that I'm aware of.

I did a test on your account and PM'ed you with some details.

Dunno. I usually use SG for notifications etc small stuff. If you receive large files, use single click hosting services. Much better option than email. Send only notification of downloadable file trough email.

Anyway. I have been complaining a lot earlier. But I think that SG is currently working very well. And I'm very happy with it. I guess it's time to make yet another donation.

- Thanks to SG team

Do you know this is the only search result online for the hosting term you used? Assuming you meant Rapidshare, etc., I also assume you meant "If you send large files". I can't and have no right (and wouldn't want) to force the rest of the world to do that when they want to send out attachments. I even don't do it myself because I know the average user would just get annoyed. I only do it when I want to send over EXE files, etc. and even then I sit on the phone telling them step by step what to do.

It's not slow. But I checked smtp logs, and it seems that sometimes SG tells that too many connections, and re-connect later. So it means email is getting dealyed. But how much, depends from the server load.

Concerning some new reports, I've just got the first message in 2 days. It had a 1 day delay (earliest received line 18 Oct 2009 13:12:32 +0000 and latest received line 19 Oct 2009 07:21:25 -0700).

Depends from multiple factors. But at least some email is permanently lost.
