Long delay in delivering mails?

Hello.

Is it just me, or does it take quite some time for spamgourmet mails to arrive? As a test, I sent myself an email from http://heise.de/ (and also other sites). Normally, those mails were there on my account in about 1 minute, or so.

But now I'm already waiting like 10 minutes.

What's going on?

Thanks,
Alexander

gourmet.spamgourmet.com. down?

Hmm...

Code: Select all
alexander@quirl ~ $ telnet gourmet.spamgourmet.com. smtp
Trying 216.75.35.164...
Connected to gourmet.spamgourmet.com..
Escape character is '^]'.

Ie. gourmet.spamgourmet.com doesn't answer. That's, according to "dig -t mx spamgourmet.com" the most preferred mx (with a prio of 1).

Could someone kick that server, please?

Best regards,
Alexander

Scan this board. SG is under constant denial-of-service attack. The severity varies. Sometimes the delay is much longer than ten minutes.

As Josh et al say, providing more constant service is beyond the scope of this site. "Scope" being defined as "the limits of their time," and "the limits of their funds."

(They do not have the time to run a paid site. Again, search the site. This topic comes up often enough. We all appreciate their near-heroic efforts under the circumstances.)
