I would have liked to see the complete error message including headers. Do you know which ISP the sender of the delayed messages was using?

It's a work place and I can't start asking the exclusive sender to check headers. They just forwarded me the error message. I bet it's just a customized version of the "can't deliver for 4 hours, will try for 5 days".

There's also a site that sends me automated messages from a no-reply address. Some days I got an automated message telling me I can't e-mail the no-reply address. This must mean Spamgourmet alerted the no-reply address for a delay or something.

me too...

Hi guys, I have similar problems.

1) A daily newsletter thru xoxy.net was hung up inside SG from 28 Nov 2007 23:41:07 GMT to 29 Nov 2007 19:39:12 GMT. I will PM the headers to Josh shortly.

2) Email to a new address @mamber.net you show created (thus sent) yesterday a.m. has not arrived.

Others problems may exist and are unknown.

Thanks for all the great work you do!

Update:
That finally arrived after being stuck @ SG for 2 days, as you can see:

I'm also not getting emails coming through. And I'm having timeout issues getting to the main page (spamgourmet.com, xoxy.net). Oddly enough, these BBS pages seem to load okay.

When I try to send mail, I get this error:

Code: Select all
 ls | mail -v testemail.t.fakeuser@xoxy.net
testemail.t.fakeuser@xoxy.net... Connecting to gourmet.spamgourmet.com. via esmtp...
testemail.t.fakeuser@xoxy.net... Deferred: Connection refused by gourmet.spamgourmet.com.

Sending to spamgourmet.com I get this:

Code: Select all
ls | mail -v testemail.t.fakeuser@spamgourmet.com
testemail.t.fakeuser@spamgourmet.com... Connecting to gourmet.spamgourmet.com. via esmtp...

It doesn't help. The problem is not between Spamgourmet and you but your sender and Spamgourmet.

Anyway, during yesterday and today I kept not getting messages, while other messages did arrive (details in PM).

Warren,

We don't filter IBM, so these results are strange.

I am having the same issue, where email is not getting delivered on time to my gmail address. Sometimes it's a delay of a few hours. Other times, it is a delay of days.

Here is a transcript of how long it took for the BBS welcome email to get to me (50 minutes):

Just so there is no confusion, I have obscured the real email addresses with a series of "xxx".

yes, something is stuck at SG. Here's a notice of the last post FROM SG to me. Quoting the delay from the header:

That's a 10 hour delay.

However, for Most of my needs, it's ok. Happy Holidays to Josh & the great folks @ SG!

Sigh... Sorry about that, folks. We are obviously bombarded. The machine is very busy. I'll try to see if there is room for improvement.

Please be aware that we are users of sg and that we don't get special treatment. When there is a slowdow, it affects us as well. So that's more incentive.

Guess what, I've just (December 14th) got a message from December 3th and December 9th. All of the received lines are from today, but the date header mentions those dates (the content also reflects those dates).

Well, two days back (Dec 12) I got a message dated Nov 27 :-)
