I did a little useability test: I asked a few people to look for the 1st time at spamgourmet.com and tell me if what they saw (the no-brainer mode page) was understandable. They told me it was not very clear.

My test population includes a friend who is an engineer, writer and university teacher. He had a hard time figuring it out because he has no computing background. I figured that if such a bright person has trouble understanding SG, then our explanations need to be rewritten.

So I believe we need a short intro at the top of the page. I'm working on it.

If it's OK with you, I'm going to insert that introduction in the French version of the page and test it with volunteers. We can then propagate these explanation to other languages if they prove satisfactory.

yeah, it's been purposefully vague in order to filter the user base. I think there's definitely enough momentum (and server horsepower?) to handle a broader group -- engineers and professors are definitely OK. I'll work on a better intro, too.
