Interested in setting up a mail server that uses SG

Postby jeremy8fc » Thu Jan 13, 2005 4:27 pm

A couple of questions:

I read on here that I should use the CVS code,
I'm using TortoiseCVS checkout with options

*HEAD branch
*most recent files, and
*export for making a software release...

Will this give me the correct files or do I need to use different parameters?

Second

I've been reading on sendmail, and have had little luck understanding it. Are there any primers for it that might be more helpful (read stupid-friendly)? I found a couple of 'might be useful' posts on here, but I wont get a chance to sit down and read through them until the weekend. I've also gone through the op.ps guide but it's still not clicking.

thanks

Regarding sendmail, I'd recommand "sendmail, 3rd Edition" by Allman that covers sendmail 8.

Josh, the CVS questions is more your alley...

Thanks for the info, I'll look into that. I also found a book called 'linux sendmail administration', it's on order. From what I have read it's supposed to be very good.
