What is the attachment size limit for forwarded messages

Got an email to an SG address bounced back tonight on account of a large attachment. Wanted to confirm that there is a ~5 MB limit to emails passing through SG. Is that correct? Or was I bounced back elsewhere along the path.

Searched the FAQ and these Support boards, but couldn't seem to find the answer.

Any more info available?

nothing in the code enforces a limit, but probably the upstream mail server does. 5 megs would sound right, in that case.

Don't know if the situation has changed since the time this thread began, but this was the only post I could find on the subject, so I just wanted to comment that I just tested sending myself a 9.25mb file through spamgourmet (xoxy.net) and received it successfully.
